KCCI-TV 8 News is looking for an investigative reporter to join a nationally-recognized, award-winning team of journalists. Job Description The investigative reporter will juggle multiple projects, working on long-term investigations while also being part of the daily editorial process. Develop ideas for realistic, executable, timely and important investigations. Develop key sources in order to break stories. This reporter will be a versatile storyteller: able to delve into numbers, tell emotional stories and deliver active and creative live shots. Candidates should know how to analyze data and request public records. They must be creative in the use of graphics and digital and social media platforms. They should also be open to collaboration with an entire team of journalists. Experience Requirements: Past reporting experience(2-5 years) required Demonstrated ability to enterprise and uncover Your demo reel should be indicative of your everyday work Related military experience will be considered Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent proven work experience. Equivalent military training from Defense Information School (DINFOS) and associated experience will be considered. |
