NAB is holding a Virtual Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, March 25 at 1 p.m. CENTRAL. We highly encourage your participation and that of your member stations’ relevant personnel, such as general managers and marketing staff, as we plan to discuss our strategy to increase legislators’ awareness of the great work stations are doing in communities every day.
The strategy and the resources we plan to unveil during the webcast is the result of input we’ve received from radio and TV companies and stations. Our target audience for this initiative includes members of Congress and FCC commissioners and their staffs, as well as other influencers in the telecommunications space.
There is an urgent need for stations to make a clear connection between their ability to serve their communities and the impact of legislators’ decisions on policy affecting broadcasters. Communicating broadcasters’ unique local service is an important facet to protecting stations’ licenses.
During the webcast we will share a playbook that outlines how to strategically amplify what stations are doing in their communities and why it matters. We will also share social media best practices to help your stations engage with your legislators using this platform.
We thank you for your involvement and support of this strategy.
