It was a packed house, with over 200 broadcasters attending this year’s Summer Convention and IBA Awards Luncheon, held June 26 at the West Des Moines Marriott, where NAB Executive Vice-President for Radio, John David, delivered the Keynote address and 2014 IBA Scholarship students, Tanner Heinrichs and Jason Vizzini were recognized.
Jim Field, General Manager, KJAN, Atlantic was named Broadcaster of the Year and Tony Coloff, KIOW, Forest City, was inducted into the IBA Hall of Fame, honoring his 55 years of service and many contributions to Iowa broadcasting. The IBA Broadcaster of the Year and Hall of Fame recognize those who have provided exceptional leadership to their stations, service to their communities and dedication to the broadcast industry.
